- Summary: Capel Newydd Methodist Chapel was built in 1763, rebuilt in 1848 and a vestry added during the early twentieth century. The present chapel, dated 1848, was built in the Simple Round Headed style with a long-wall entry plan. Capel newydd is now Grade 2 Listed for its unaltered interior of 1848.
RCAHMW, November 2010. - Description: The chapel was built in 1763 and was restored or rebuilt in 1848 as the present structure. A vestry was added in the early C20. Built in the Simple Round-Headed style, long-wall entry type. Status (2000): in chapel use.
Primitive façade in painted render. Slate arches to openings. New blue tinted h.w. windows. Slated roof. Adjacent hall and grassed forecourt. 1993 PCNPA.
One of five earliest Methodist congregations in Pembrokeshire, founded by Howel Davies (information from Cadw list description of 24/11/1994)..

My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
