- Summary: St John's Congregational Chapel was designed by architects Paull and Robinson of Manchester and built in 1868. The upper stage of the clock tower and spire were added in 1908, the manse and three schoolrooms in 1872. The present chapel was built in the Gothic style with a long-wall entry plan and integral tower. St John's is now Grade 2 Listed as an ambitious and prominent late nineteenth century non-conformist chuapel.
RCAHMW, October 2010 - Description: Designed by the Manchester architects, Paull & Robinson, and opened in August, 1868 (cost £2750). The upper stage of clock tower and spire were added in 1907-8 (cost £630). Built in the Gothic style, long-wall entry type. A prominent feature of this Chapel is the integral tower. Status (1993): chapel. Grade II listed.
Prominent spire at corner of street. Highly detailed in yellowish local stone with dressings and quoins in Bath stone. Slate roof. Built 1868 in early English style (Paul and Robinson). 1993 PCNPA.

My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
