- Summary: Tabor Baptist Chapel was built in 1792, extended in 1815, and rebuilt in 1842 The fabric was renewed in 1882 with further modifications in 1921 by architect John Teifion Williams of Cardigan. The present chapel, dated 1882, is built in the Simple Round-Headed style with a gable-entry plan and two storeys. Tabor is now Grade 2 Listed for its good mostly 1842 interior.

Rendered and painted stone/slate. New windows/door in h.w. Plain with arch headed openings. Gable entry. Hall to rear. Victorian walls and wrought iron railings and gates to forecourt. Overhanging eaves. 1993 PCNPA.
Well designed two storey gable-end façade on a good site. Good detailing (plaque, ground floor windows heads etc.) Plaque of black with silver lettering gives information, but are the initials those of ministers or architects?

The church (chapel) was formed in 1798 (1998 Llawlyfr of Undeb Bedyddwyr Cymru), having been first built in 1792 (1851 R. Census, date plaque, MLGP, Cadw); it was extended in 1815 (Cadw), and rebuilt in 1842 (1851 R. Census, date plaque & Cadw), or 1843 (date plaque & Cadw), with present interior of this period; was T Rees of Fishguard the plasterer? The fabric was renewed in 1882 (date plaque & Cadw) or 1887 (PCNPA); later-C19 pulpit (Cadw); NW. vestry of 1921, by the Cardigan architect. J Teifi Williams? My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
