- Summary: Penuel Baptist Chapel was initialy built in 1820 and the present chapel in 1861 by builderJohn Evans of Cilgerran. The vestry was added in 1908. The present chapel, dated 1861, was built in the Sub-Classical style with a gable entry plan. Penuel is now Grade 2 Listed.
RCAHMW, October 2010 - Description: The chapel was built in 1820. The present chapel was built in 1861-2, with John Evans of Cilgerran as the builder. The vestry is dated 1908-9, for which W L Martin of Newcastle Emlyn was the builder/contractor (cost £335). Built in the Sub-Classical style, gable entry type. Status (1998): chapel
Rubble stone/slate. Painted rendered gable front in plain sub-classical style. Arch headed windows and doors. Smaller hall adjacent. Railed grounds. 1993 PCNPA.
The church (chapel) was formed in 1841 (1998 Llawlyfr of Undeb Bedyddwyr Cymru), having been built earlier, in 1820 (1851 R. Cenus). The present chapel was built in 1861-2, with John Evans of Cilgerran as the builder; the clock is dated 1863 (Cadw); the columns are by T Thomas, the Cardign founders. The vestry is dated 1908-9 (Cadw), for which W L Martin of Newcastle Emlyn was the builder/contractor (Cadw). Status (1998): in Baptist use. - Built: 1862 Source:PCNPA

My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
