- Summary: Blaenffos Baptist Chapel was built in 1765, restored in 1807 and rebuilt in 1856. The present chapel, dated 1856, is built with a gable entry plan, two storeys and small pane glazing. Blaenffos is now Grade 2 Listed for its Georgian interior.

Large gable entry building. Rendered stone, reticulated to corners. Slate roof. Arch head sash windows to top storey. 1993 PCNPA.
Similar in style to Ty Rhos Independent Chapel, Clgerran (information from Cadw list description of 25/01/1995).
The church (chapel) was formed in 1785 (1998 Llawlyfr of Undeb Bedyddwyr Cymru); a chapel had been built in that year (PCNPA) or 1784 (RCCEORBWM) or 1765 (Cadw); it was restored in 1805 (PCNPA) and/or rebuilt in 1807 (Cadw); it was rebuilt as the present chapel in 1855 (RCCEORBWM) or 1856 (Cadw); early-C20 organ by the Taunton organ builders, G Osmond. My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
