- Summary: Castle Street United Reformed Chapel was built in 1690 (on a different site NPRN 11663) and rebuilt on this site in 1707, 1792, and again in 1838. The present chapel, dated 1838, was built in the Simple Round-Headed style of the gable-entry type and the interior much refurnished during the late twentieth century. Castle Street is now Grade 2 Listed as a handsome and well preserved chapel.

Early C19th consisting of two linked .units with gabled ends. Main building on left with three round-headed windows, 2 of full height and central one shorter over porch of Tuscan columns. Pediment with round plaque "Founded 1690". Part to right similar and later, without porch, central window or plaque to pediment.
This chapel is the successor to the first chapel of 1690 which was on a different site (NPRN11663)
Two stained glass windows and wall clock by Dinwoodie. Burial ground disused after 1881 (J Freere).

My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
