Gothic revival style chapel, Rectangular form.
Date: 1875
Regular dressed stonework on main façade, other elevations plain rendered.
Schoolroom - south annex with additional S. extension, plain rendered, incised decoration on main annex façade. Double string cources.
Roofs - gabled, slate covered.
Main façade - W. gable end, 4 dressed stone buttresses. Central double-door in single opening with 2 centred arched head, illuminated glass sign above. 2 tall lancet windows each side of door with stained leaded lights, smaller single window above the door. Inset foiled date plaque in gable. Apex finial.
N. elevation - 4 lancet windows.
S. elevation - 2 lancet windows.
Low stone wall with iron gate and railings in front of chapel.
Schoolroom (due for demolition) - W. façade - 3 lancet type windows with glazing-bars, double-door in single opening with 2 centred head. Date plaque: Sunday school 1910.
S. extension, W. façade_ Small porch, 5 casement windows with 6 panes. Date plaque: 1929
Interior:
Walling - plain painted rendering.
Ceiling - t & g boarding with ribs, 2 centre roses.
Floor - timber with carpet, marble tiles in hallway.
Hallway - partition with stained glass leaded-lights, 2 doors to chapel. Doors to gallery stairs on either side.
Pulpit - 2 tier, located infront of E. internal ground-floor partition-wall. Curved front with fixed lectern, balustered stair to pulpit.
Organ located in pulpit, modern, restored 1959. Organ pipes above pulpit, original organ located in W. gallery. Commemorative seats on platform below pulpit with cast-iron rail infront. Communion table infront of pews.
Doors each side of pulpit to vestry behind. Door to schoolroom.
Pews - Open bench type with small doors at the ends. Grained finish with raised ends. Pews under gallery set at an angle. Estimated seating capacity - 350.
Gallery - U shaped, supported on 9 cast-iron pillars with foliated capitals. Panelled surround, clock at W. end.
S. annex - Plain rendered walls, timber flooring. Large open room on ground-floor, Sunday-school above.

My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
