- Summary: Soar Baptist Chapel was built in 1832, rebuilt 1858, extended in 1875 and rebuilt again in 1902. The 1902 chapel was built in the Romanesque style of the gable-entry type. Soar closed in 1978 has since been converted for use as a Community Cultural Centre.
RCAHMW, September 2010 - Description: Built in 1832, builder and possibly architect W.Lewis of Aberdare (cost £300), modified, altered or rebuilt 1858, 1875 and 1903. Closed 1978. Built in the Romanesque style, gable entry type. Present status [1997]: other Mr Richard Morgan has rescued the building from demolition and it is now a cultural centre. Most of the main fabric of the building, externally and internally, (ceiling, gallery, pews, stained glass windows), are intact. Information from Mr Islwyn David Jones. (PI 12/08/96).

My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
