- Summary: Bethesda Methodist Chapel was first built in 1819 and a second Bethesda in 1848, to the design of architect Richard Humphreys of Dyffryn. Bethesda was rebuilt a third time in 1870, in the Lombardic/Italian style of the gable entry type, by architect Richard Owen of Liverpool. This chapel was modified in 1895. The early 1819 chapel, now called St Martin's Hall, is Grade 2 listed and the final 1870 building is still in chapel use.
RCAHMW, February 2010 - Description: Chapel built 1826; gallery of 1833; rebuilt as Bethesda 2 in 1848 to the design of The Rev. Richard Humphreys of Dyffryn. Rebuilt 1870 as Bethesda 3 to the design of Richard Owen of Liverpool & modified again 1895. Built in the Lombardic/Italian style, gable entry type. Manse added after 1880. The early chapel, subsequently in use as St Martin's Hall, is listed Grade 2. Status (1995): 1870 chapel in chapel use.

My great great grandparents were married in Kinnerton Chapel in Old Radnor on 21st May1850. I have been searching for information on the Chapel, so was pleased to find this website.
